I have a close friend who is marrying off her daughter tuesday and 10 days later her son.

I was thinking of making her lunch, tuesday, as I know she'll be very busy, and I don't know if she'll have time to make for the kids. that way she can have something ready made......

what do you think??

miriamnechama, what a lovely thing to do!

She's lucky to have you as a friend.

I can't think of anything more practical and appreciative as food prepared when you are (B"H) busy with family simchas.

oh ho.. I had to remind her that she still needs to get her son's invitations out... she's like I'm up to my ears with this wedding, I can't think about the next one.... so I went over yesterday, took some invitations to help her with the distributing. and tonight she needs me again.

I just don't want her to get to the hall starved, ie that she had forgotten to eat in all the rush of preparations.... even if it's a pasta salad.. it's stil something.

I find the biggest help you can give, is send something over to eat. On the day of a simcha (and usually several days beforehand) the baal simcha has no time to cook and make sure there's some food on the table. I'm sure your gesture will be immensely appreciated.
What a lovely thing to do!

yeah that's what I meant.

her sister came in from canada. with 3 of her kids, but she also won''t have time to stand and cook on teh day of the simcha......

I'll bring it over the minute I get back from jeru....
