ok I'm looking for suggestions..
my 5 year old is very thin and her skirts fall off her.
She won't wear a belt unless there are belt holes which there are not.
What can I do?

I have an opposite problem. My 4 year old is a bit chubby and her skirts go below her stomach and look ridiculous.
My solution: Keep her in jumpers. She looks great.

she likes skirts - I guess she feels bigger.. after all mommy doesn't wear jumpers....

In my son's pants they have sewed this elastic where you can put a button in at any stage of the way to make the pants width bigger or smaller. You can try something like that.
And start pointing out to her adults who are wearing dresses/jumpers.

Clip on suspenders (American for braces) or sew in shoulder straps that you can crisscross and button in place.
Do you mean "belt loops"? you can sew those on, too, but for a child who'se really a toothpick, belts don't always work well unless you pull them tight enough to leave a red mark.

I have the same problem with my daughters. Get elastic or change waistbands to elastic if she insists on skirts. It is much easier, neater and cuter dresses. I tell her when she is older she can wear skirts.
We have a few children uncle moishy videos, and torah Avenue, and I make sure to point out how they are wearing dresses too as oppposed to skirts.
