My son claims that transfer stop at airport doesn't count because it's international land. He is well traveled.
Are you making a shlissel challah? |
Gut Voch! Gut Chodesh Iyar!
Would've loved to make it, but couldn't.
Do you refrain from listening to all types of music and singing the whole sefirah?

No. I don't like it. I find it's mostly people bashing, bad-mouthing and treading on each other.
Are other countries besides Eretz Yisrael affected by the Elite, Strauss Salmonella saga?
In E'Y a large quantity of food products are from those companies.

I don't know. I'm in Israel, too, baruch Hashem.
What is something you learned from one of your children?

I bought for pesach 2 bars of elite chocolate, didn't use it but my husband said only specific ones on their site listed are not ok. My other choco bars were not from elite more like swiss.
I learned resilience from my one kid especially going thru challenges & my other kids as well. Also they are happy and playful without stress. (Some)

Pesach sheni is next Sunday , יד אייר
Lag Baomer is next Thursday, יח אייר
Shavuos is in exactly 4 weeks from today - Sunday June 5, ו סיון
Though Shabbos is erev Y"T this year, so erev erev yom tov is in 3 1/2 weeks!
Do you do anything special on Pesach sheni?

I try to work out my feelings. Lol!
That reminds me of a joke:
Men definitely have feelings, they feel hungry! They feel tired!
Anyhow do you like to talk about your feelings or you hide them?

Why don't you share your feelings?
They should do the best they can.
Pushing them too much can also set them up for failure.
My son had a quota of how many hours he needed to learn over Pesach. He covered over half, plus finished entire tehillim 3x. He was one of only a couple of boys in class who didn't receive any reward at all, because he didn't fill it entirely, and the tehillim they didn't want count towards the learning. Sorry, now the hours he did learn is nothing worth? How is that for encouragement? I was literally crying for him. We gave up our chol hamoad plans because he wanted to go shul every day to daven with minyan & learn, then booms! Nothing for it!

Oy, that's terrible! I would be crying too!
I would speak to the Rebbi, let him know how hard your son worked. He should definitely be rewarded. And if he's not rewarded in school, maybe you can do something for him at home.
Tehillim 3 times - that's amazing! How old is he?

9.
Same thing happened last year & we spoke to menahel. He ended up giving him something then, but I thought he would know better this year and not repeat.
Any ideas for date night?

Take a walk around the lake (or anywhere else calm and pretty if you don't have a lake)
How do you deal with tantrums from a very smart 6 year old?

That’s so not fair. I can’t believe he did that to your son twice.
Now to answer the last question- My favorite thread now as always is immediate thread reactions, people have the cutest and funniest reactions sometimes!
Question-
What’s harder- to get up from a recliner or off a bed?

Definitely off a recliner as your feet are lifted up & you still need to close the recliner to get up
What do you do when s kid wakes up in mid night hungry.
My toddler went to sleep on recliner when she was served her chicken for dinner. She woke up before crying she's hungry. I gave her, her chicken, but she didn't even eat it.
