We live in a small OOT community. My husband wants to drive to a larger community with our son to shop for things for his Bar Mitzvah - tefillin, suit, hat, etc.
Can some people who live there please tell me: can we get these items in either city? What are the stores called?
We know that Chicago has more shopping, but it's also further and we prefer one of these closer places.

What size suit does your son wear? (Boys or men?)
For tefillin, we got from Rabbi Yehoshua Ellis 248-632-7494. Were very happy.

And Suit Depot on Greenfield Road in Oak Park to outfit the bar mitzvah.

I would guess that at the moment, he would wear a kids 14 and then need alterations.

Only one home store with wholesale pricing, the one that sells boys' shabbosdik clothing.
Let me know when you've seen this, (I am following this thread) and I will remove the number.
I don't feel too bad posting it because it has been advertised, but still...
