I have made a really delicious salad. I make a terriyaki type salmon. ON the indidvidual plate, I put a bed of angel hair. top with salad greens, then flaked salmon, drizzle with a honey mustard dressing. It looks great and the taste is fabulous!

Thanks, that sounds good I will try it one week. I serve salmon over salad probably every other shabbos for an appetizer, just not sure what to do this week. And I have no idea why anyone here would be able to help me make this decision. Nor can I understand why I am having such a hard time making this decision in the first place.

why don't you make a deli salad or a cold angel hair pasta salad? or one of those nice salads with fancy greens & fruit, craisins & nuts. hope I'm not making things more difficult

No. I have two salads that I want to make and I can't decide which one to do. I don't need recipes, I need to decide whether to serve deli turkey or salmon as the appetizer. And I am obsessing again.

I want to help more than anything, but I have no idea what spicy turkey is, or how it works on a salad. Please share so that I may reach out to you.

I am making a corned beef that gets polished off every time I make it. It is simply heavenly.
Besides that we have yummy homemade challah
gefilte and salmon (I make it in the oven with this yummy spice rub that I bought in a fish store...)
tons of dips, some bought some homemade
soup with kneidlach and noodles
corned beef
potato kugel
apple kugel

deli salad
Unsure abt dessert, any ideas?

My aunt makes it and people go crazy over it, but there is no magic to it. It's carrot kugel in a loaf pan with blueberry pie filling-- put a strip on top down the middle and it will sink in. It looks pretty and people like it.

Thanks for the support. I spoke to my mother/mashpia and she helped me decide that the best thing for everyone is to make the turkey salad. The rest is in Hashem's hands.

I could give you an even bigger (((((hug)))) now for staying strong and knowing how to handle the situation.
I thought that maybe you didn't ask my advice because you figured I was going to suggest you make a Cambodian Cedar-Plank Roasted Wild Salmon with a Grilled Papaya-Thai Basil-Jicama Slaw.
