Must've mixed up your info with someone else and got that stuck in my head. Hello from Jersey!

Bananas are all clones. They are called Cavendish. The more ripe they are the more sugar they have. They are chok-full of potassium. The PLU is 4011.

Tell me why Europeans did not want to eat potatoes when they were brought back from the world.

Because they are part of the 'nightshade family'- of which many plants are poisonous; they were afraid potatoes were too.

It's not an easy process.
Ongoing working on oneself.
But if you manage to persevere until the end, your feeling of exhilaration and satisfactory fulfillment
is sky-high.
So, GO AHEAD WITH IT!!! Believe in yourself - you can do it! BE'H.

Because our mothers and grandmothers etc. braided their challah
Because it's beautiful that way
Because it's delicious that way!
(I'm sure there's a deeper reason. If anyone else has one, I'd love to hear!)

Tell me about traditions

Traditions are very important to us. Keep the connection to our past and to each other.
Real minhagim, as well as our own family-created traditions- like the candies we eat after menorah lighting on Chanukah, or pancakes for breakfast Purim morning!

Tell me about something you regret.

I remember hearing: braiding, (or as the Brits call it - plaiting) looks similar to weaving. We braid challos to symbolize the stress and difficulties of the week weaving into the serenity of Shabbos Kodesh and disappearing over Shabbos.
They may be more reasons. I heard this one.

Next "Tell me about" is from "Tof Umachol," preceding this post.
I'm really interested in the answer b/c self discipline is something I'm continuously t-r-y-I-n-g to work on.
If anyone has tips to make working on it easier, I'll be glad to read. TIA Smile

OK, this one has been lingering here awhile, so I will change it (since no one seems to want to talk about self-discipline right now).

Tell me about what to look for in a child's first pair of shoes.

"Tof Umachol," perhaps you can tell us about self-discipline? I'll certainly be glad to hear what you have to say about it.
I find I do have self-discipline in some things and some things not. eg. I don't have self-discipline with mealtimes - I skip meals, can eat one meal a day. I usually don't eat breakfast. I'm not the type to sit down for a snack either. My snack is a hot cup of coffee or cocoa.
I do drink water through the day.
I so much want to change this bad habit of not eating nourishing meals on time, but don't feel the push.

To answer your Q, I'd have to ask my daughter who recently bought for her son his first pair of shoes.
