The same like I find American English to be challenging here! Very often I have no clue what the poster had in mind with her word/s. So I answer according to how I understand them or I ask for an explanation!
But I don't want to bother posters by asking too often.
If one has Google one can look it up. My internet is filtered, you know how many times I look up words in my plain old-fashioned still from school Oxford Dictionary or my Thesauras, if I'm not sure of an American word.
That's how one learns
