Things I've done in the past include a multi picture frame with some pictures of grandkids and other ones cute sayings about grandparents. Looks cute on the wall. I also didn't want to emphasise the 'old' aspect as I knew it was hard for my parents to accept they were in the next stage of life.
I also took the 'survival kit for new parents' and adapted it for grandparents and made a little package with all the different things.
There's also mugs you can get, or print your own with what you want on it. There's some really nice saying about grandparents without emphasising them being old.

A friend printed a photo of me and my grandson (holding him when I met him for the first time:) and framed it.. was super thoughtful..
I was 41 at the time

The point is that she's not old, and I think she'll appreciate the joke. Thanks for sharing a different viewpoint, though.
I definitely am not looking for a mug, t shirt, or picture frame saying "#1 Grandma."

I’ve bought a professional babke loaf and wrapped it in cellophane topped with a shower cap, gray hair and glasses and written ‘Mazel Tov Babke’. It was very well received by a few people.
