Not really afraid, no. I would just make sure to take extra precautions if needed. I kinda hope I will be traveling soon

As for lefty and righty. It's an old prejudice. The Latin word for right is Dexter, which also means auspicious. The Latin word for left is Sinister. Which also means evil etc. If you look at Latin origins, the word Ambidextrous which means to use both hands equally well, is actually saying "both sides (Ambi) are right (Dexter)"

Many cultures have left handed prejudice. If you look at Egyptian art the pharaohs are drawn right-handed and their enemies left-handed. I believe in some Muslim countries, you are supposed to clean yourself after using the bathroom with your left hand.

Even as recent as the 1920s left handed children were forced to use their right hand. My Father suspected that his father, my Grandpa A"H was born left handed. Bc he saw his dad take a pen and sign his name with his right hand, then switch it to his left and sign it exactly the same. But he was otherwise wrote with his right.

Today most ppl don't do that, but still in our langue there is the bias, not to mention certain instruments like scissors and computer mice have to be bought special for left handed people and sometimes cost more than the original versions, made for right handed people.

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to explain all this. It's really interesting even if sad too, that a lefty is treated badly. It seems that in some cultures being left-handed is viewed as a disability.

No. Not right now. I'm trying to organize my mind right now and my feelings, b/c my dh was rushed today to the ER with heart trouble symptoms. He has a heart condition already 13 years and it flared up today ... again.
And I can't even be there with him.
I know I might sound self-pitying but I'm not, I'm just tense and scared. Sad
