Play board games. Pick a sefer to learn together. Go for a long walk. Curl up with a cozy blanket and a good book.

Something you eat/drink only in the winter.

Grapefruits, oranges, tangerines are mostly for winter.
Warm chestnuts sometimes cook in the winter. Winter we like warm soups, in summer rather like stuff to cool off

Egyptian costume on Ali express.

My son wanted to be that last Purim. We tried to get it from Toys 4 U website but they were out of stock. Right after that I found on Ali but didn't order for this year yet because he might still change his mind till Purim

Is this an answer to "Genius" item in virtual cart?
or "dankbar" gift for a teacher?

When we finished school it was the cool thing to be a teacher, for the status for shidduchim, also we were waiting to see who was chosen after everyone needed to deliver their model lesson. In reality though, those are the lowest paying jobs.
Today girls look for more lucrative jobs so they can use their money for wedding or to support a husband in learning.

Today I think a therapist is a cool thing, where they help people unravel their lives & put them back together.

I am a truly expert laundry folder. I make beautiful symmetrical piles of neatly folded clothing which take up minimal space in closets. But my family is in on this secret.
Another hidden talent - I can rapidly scan a pile of cucumbers at the supermarket and immediately select the few that are fresh and crisp.
(I'm starting to enjoy this. Maybe we should start a thread on hidden talents Wink .)

Something interesting/unusual your mother used to do, that you like doing, too.

My dearest, darling Mummy, she should be healthy and happy ad mea'h v'esrim shanim and more, she taught me a LOT just by watching her, not through lecturing.

2 of the many things that I copy her:

- if she saw a picture of a Rav/Rabbi (eg. on leaflets) on the ground outside, she'd always pick it up and place it on a low wall, out of kavod for the Rabbi.

- when walking outside if she noticed nylon bags scattered on the ground, she'd move them with her foot to a wall, so that if an elderly or vision impaired person walked there they shouldn't c'v slip on the bags.

ideas: how you take that HUGE leap of courage and start using a talent that Hashem Gifted you?
