Halachickly? Who knows. It doesn't matter, given that we're not looking for a shidduch for him. Evidently he identifies as Jewish, which is what counts in this context.

I was surprised that there was no discussion anywhere about this. I thought I might have started a thread, possibly with his name for davening but I can't find it. And I'm upset with myself that I kept forgetting to post after his scary sentencing on erev Shabbos.
I don't know if he's halachically Jewish. I know that the Jewish community was thanked, whatever that means.
