So then is the second the female nachas that was created along with the male one that spoke to Chavah?
That's an interesting thought.
Do we know for sure that the Nachash Hakadmoni was created with a female?
In any case, that was not the answer I had in mind. This is a different Nachash.

There were a few people with the name Nachash in Tanach...
Oh, of course! I was stuck thinking of snakes... wasn't there a king of Amon called Nachash in the times of Shaul Hamelech?
Yes!
He was the guy that started up with Yaveish Gil'ad and wanted to poke out everyone's right eye!
By the way, I was looking into this a bit last night and learned that there was a king named Nachash who was kind to Dovid when he was running from Shaul. I think the meforshim say it is the same Nachash Ha'Amoni.

The more I think about this, the more I see you are right.
There must have been a female snake created with the male.
When Hashem punished the snake, He said that He will place hatred between the snake and the woman, and between his (the snake's) seed and her seed.
There is no way that the snake could have seed if there was no female.
It probably should have been obvious to me that the male snake was created with a mate, as all the other animals were.
But I learned that the snake actually resembled a human- at least externally, nothing like what it looks like today. He was also able to speak just like a person. And so I thought it's possible that just as Adam was not created with a female at first, perhaps the snake did not have one either.
Also, according to Chazal, the snake enticed Chava and had s-xual relations with her.
For these reasons, I thought it's possible that there was no female.
To four fathers who were tzaddikim, my lineage I can trace,
And I'm included in the eight special people's space.
Along other tzaddikim I did showcase,
But the batei k'nesios was my place.
In Tanach, many people share my name,
Some as plain, some as leviim, and some as kohanim it does claim.
Who am I?
Anyone want to take a last crack at this? I should be getting the answer tonight or maybe tomorrow.
OK. I personally know next to nothing about Tzephania so I never would have guessed it based off the clues.
Also while they write the question in English, they wrote the answer in Hebrew.
I'll try to see if I can copy and paste it.
