Wow! I'm loving this thread! Can't believe I missed 29 pages of it while it was happening.... Just finished going through all those pages, one question that I noticed didn't get answered (there were several, I don't remember them all):
The person who died at an age where all 3 digits of his age were the same was Lemech, father of Noach, at 777.
Correct!! And welcome to the thread

I'm going to give the answer for my question about who in the gemara was the son of an animal.
R' Yochanan ben Torta- literally son of a cow.
The story behind this is about a gentile who bought off a cow from a Jew. After a week
, the gentile came back and complained that the cow worked very well for a few days, and one day he simply refused to move. The jew bent down and whispered something to the cow and immediatly the cow got ready to work. The gentile was mystified and asked him what kind of magic this was. He answered that there is no magic, but that his cow is not used to working on Shabbos. So he simply told him that now he belongs to a Non Jew he has to work every day. The man was so amazed that he became a ger.
Some say he became R Yochanan ben Torta, and some say it was the jew who sold the cow who became known as ben Torta due to this story.
Another person I thought of is R' Yehishua ben Gamla. (Camel)

How many Jewish names can you think of that are directly related to a specific time/period in the Jewish year. Has to be directly mentioned in the Torah/Poskim. For example if Sukkos was a name that would be acceptable but not Hadassah.
I can think of 6 or 7 and if I add a clause another 3.
