I was thinking it had something to do with Rosh Chodesh or Rosh Chodesh benching, since we acknowledge Rosh Chodesh 11 times in a regular year and 12 times in a leap year.

Right! So my answer is Birchas Hachodesh. But what Chassidish mom wrote is a different bracha, albeit also having to do with the chodesh.

Two ladies share the same name. One was the mother of a tzaddik, one of the greatest people in our nation, and the other was the mother of one of the greatest enemies of our people. What is that name?

Correct! Though I never got it clear if the name is pronounced Amasla'I or Amtalai. I have heard it said both ways.

I thought of that also, but didn't know Ditza was a common name?
The ones I'm thinking of are everyday names.

Lemech had 2 wives, one for sx and one to have kids. Per rashi, he gave the first one a drink to make her infertile, but later on, the passuk says she had a kid. So it must have failed.

Yup
