For anyone planning to come upstate, weather is actually not that great. I'm in Monsey. Seems like we're getting heavy rain shortly.

My son and DIL in Crown Heights are vaccinated and their kids are under 12 but their favorite thing to do is to give each kid $20 to spend in the toy department of Target and the kids play with that for the rest of the moed. They also hang out in parks such as Prospect Park or local playgrounds. Every night in Crown Heights there is simchas beis hashoeva and the kids can blow more money on the streets of Crown Heights while dancing to live music. Somehow they don't feel deprived.

We are at Bounce in Syosset Long Island. 35 dollars per kid for 2 hours of ropes course and trampoline. No mask or vaccine requirement.
