my boys were talking just nowe and ds 1 blurted out say... it's not possible to have 2 or 3 babies at once.. ie twins and triplets.
I don't know hwta the subject was about but I said Hashem can do anything...
should I leave it as that??
I'm not sure if he has boys in his class who have twin or triplet siblings though he does know that there is such a thing as twins.... maybe he doesn't realize that they are born at the same time??

how old is your son?
I wouldn't make an issue of it. He'll learn soon enough that Rivka had twins and in Mitzrayim women had sextuplets.
Unless your son is older and more sophisticated and meant that two babies can't literally be born of the same mother at once. They can't, you know...maybe within minutes of each other, but they aren't literally delivered at the same time. Even with c/section, one of them is delivered first and the births will be recorded at least a minute apart.
So technically your son is right, but that's probably not what he meant.

no I don't think he meant that.. he's 8 1/2 and he doesn't need to knwo the technicalities.
I thin khe meant that 2 babies can't be in the same stomach.. I don't know... I didn't really get their conversation....
and he knows alot....

Tell him that more than one baby can be in the Ima's womb at a time. That is called multiple birth; and then leave it at that.
Perhaps I'm missing something but why is this a problem? Most people have come across twins at a fairly young age, either they or a sibling has twins in their class.

Doesn't he learn parsha? Tell him that Yaakov and Eisav were twins and then tell him that X and Y who he knows are also twins. You can add that most of the time there is only one (then count all the people you know who aren't twins) so that he won't assume everyone he knows who is pregnant will have twins.
Why does it bother you? Why is it more mysterious/ untzniyus/ who knows what to know there can be 2 babies in a mother's womb instead of 1?
