I find it really hard to believe that anyone with a degree is working for $20/hour (unless maybe they’re interning or working for experience?). That’s what I pay my 20 year old babysitter.

Well, it's possible if they were unable to find a job in their field and just took whatever they could get.

And it's true that there are fewer well-paying jobs for people with just a bachelor's.

Re-do your poll.
Ask about above and below 150K with and without a degree.
I guarantee it will be clear that above 150k mostly have degrees.

Actually id be surprised if that were the case. Most ppl I know with degrees don't make over 150 (including my husband and myself) most ppl I know making that kind of money are entrepreneurial.

I think it's location specific. The salaries in the ny area are higher then in the midwest.

My point is not that most people with degrees make over 150K, but that most people making over 150K have a degree. Could be business, finance, law, computer, engineering, MD, etc...

Most of the women I know who have degrees are in special ed or similar so no, they definitely are not making anywhere near 100k, let alone 150k.

But the men who have degrees... it's possible. Though I think the really wealthy men are the businessmen, not the doctor or the lawyer.
