That so much food get trashed by every simcha?? isn't there a way to give it to organizations??
I heard this is what goes on alot in England...

there's an organization Shearis Haplate that takes leftover food from weddings in NY and gives it to poor people.

There IS an organization that collects leftovers from simchas in Israel, and donates it the following day to the soup kitchens. It's called Table to Table (שלחן לשלחן). www.tabletotable.org.il

it IS sad... b'h today people are less self conscious about bringing some home and if you divide it by all the guests you almost don't trash anything...

VERY clever!
There's also an org called ELI, Inc. (Edible Leftovers, Inc.) that does the same in the NY-NJ-CT area.
