Why would a woman not be allowed to help put on tefilin?
Technically if a female wanted to put tefilin on she could as well, but what could possibly be wrong with helping someone put it on?
Hands down best episode of the season.
I loved the O'Henry twist even though they gave it away.
Poor Lipa. No wonder he strayed. He really is locked into being the mischievous boy.
I totally thought the fly was from Shira Levy and Yossele releasing it was a sign he had to break free.
Weird that Gittty is so uptight. The Levinsons not honoring their part of the deal is a totally legitimate shidduch breaker in that world. So she could totally get Yossele off the hook. But then again, heaven forfend he should marry a Sephardi.
This episode reminded me why I fell in love with the show. First episode this season I didn't feel depressed after watching.
Totally agree with you.. The first episode of the season that made me laugh. I really don't care that a lot of the things portrayed are unrealistic in that world. It is a show after all..

Which part made you laugh?
The only part I found a little funny, but also made me cringe, was when Lipa was getting these crazy calls from people asking about the movie and how that one guy cursed him out and threatened to wallop him. Nasty language.
Oh and how Lipa messes up Total Look, with Total Loss. Not enough to make me lol, but he was cute.
I hated this episode. No humor, no Shulem, no Kive, even no Nuchem. Nothing kind or just plain nice... again, that‘s not Stissel I waited for.
Though I also wish they could have added a bit of Shulem and Kive, I won't go so far as saying I hated this episode. Hate is a strong word. I was certainly entertained, and the acting was superb.
I liked seeing Shira Levinson - she is kind of a mystery. I also liked how Gitti humbls herself to say she is sorry and how she helps Lipa, despite being against the idea initially. That takes growth.

You are defintely right about hate being a strong word. Well I did not enjoyed any of it. I just don‘t understand how it turned so nasty. Why do they build in a dialogue like „I“ll hate all haredim if you don‘t keep your word Weiss“
„You hate us already anyway“

I actually thought that was funny. And she called them dussim not chareidim which was on point.
Also the bargaining between Odeliya and Lipa was classic Israel!
I thought the hipster idea was hysterical! Taanis dibbur was too funny!
I saw two questions from another group:
During the chuppa we hear that Shulem is actually Yosef Shulem. OK.
So how is it possible that his grandson is named Yossele?
As to Kive‘s appartement: In the second season the young couple is getting Bobe‘s appartement, so why is it suddenly a housing problem with a landlord and payments?

Good catch,! Both of these are problematic. They say even JK Rowling had some inconstencies/mistakes in her books
There actually are several.
Since the post office is really slow, when sending out invitations we prefer to use a private company. They are cheaper and (about 2 weeks) faster than the regular post office.
But that was not what they were delivering. You could see bills being put into the mail boxes.
So, no, there is no regular mail, charedi postal service

You're right about that...
But one of the companies actually is named Haimishe Post.
