My 12th grade daughter is on the quieter side and tends to get homesick, but she wants to go to EY for sem. We're considering Lahav since it's only 4 months (with an option for 2 extra months I think). But I hear they get a mixed crowd. My dd is a regular Bais Yaakov type girl, mainstream yeshivish. Would there be other girls like her there? She's a friendly girl and would get along with everyone, but she really wants to have at least some girls from the same background and hashkafa as her. She also really doesn't want to be in a seminary with girls who have boy issues or are doing anything iffy.
We don't know anyone who's gone recently so it's hard to know what to expect.

Lahav is very random. Girls go so they could start shidduchim earlier, start working or college earlier, it's cheaper than full time seminary...I know typical Lakewood girls (not yeshivish, yes good bakovodik girls) who went because of the price...there's always a huge range but there are also LOTS of very "Flatbushy" type girls. I know this isn't the question, but I'm very impressed with Lahav. They pack everything into a few short months, tour a lot of Eretz Yisrael, have a lot of hashkaha, and the staff is warm.

Their crowd has been consistently veering towards the right. My daughter is a mainstream Bais Yaakov girl and is interested in Going there. I don’t think there are girls with boyfriends there. It is mostly an in town sem meaning there is usually some ritzy girls, but a quiet BY girl will also find her place.
I was really impressed by what I saw and heard there.

OP, did your daughter end up going there? What was her experience?
Any updates info on this seminary?
Crowd? Hard to get into? Tuition? Is it very academic?

Bump! Considering this seminary. They had an open house tonight, and my daughter was impressed. Initially it was not one of the seminaries on her radar, but she went with a friend to the Open House, and now she is thinking of applying.
A few questions if I may:
1. Would a girl who is a top student but also knows how to have a good time feel that this program is not challenging enough?
2. How does it work with college credits for the Touro Option? How many credits would she get if staying until Jan? Till after Purim? Can one still apply for financial aid?
3. I hear it is a busy schedule. Would she still have time to go visit family in Israel? Or not so much?
