I think we're missing the point here.

The issue at hand is not necessarily how Fox's daughter was ejected from the plane, rightfully or wrongfully (though that is extremely upsetting). Delta and Fox and imamother can argue from today until tomorrow exactly how many centimeters the girl's mask was or was not on her nose, and at the end of the day Delta's actions were not illegal (albeit horrendous customer service).

The issue at hand is that the Delta representative (flight attendant)
USED RELIGION-SPECIFIC LANGUAGE TO IDENTIFY AND BERATE AN INDIVIDUAL.

Ms. Green could have expressed her ire/annoyance/horror at masks, covid, et al with forceful, even angry language, and while it may have been bad customer service, it would not have been against the law.

BUT by identifying the girl as a Jew, by directing her anger at the girl's RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION (including comments to other members of the same religion) and RELIGIOUS ACTIONS - WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUE AT HAND (aka, the wearing/or not wearing of masks - and the claim that a siddur is serving to hide a mask is absurd and bizarre), Ms. Green herself made the issue about the girl's ethnicity, religion, and identity, and THAT is a legally actionable offense.

If Ms. Green had berated a passenger by insulting their gender identity you'd better believe Delta would be painting their planes in rainbows by now in groveling apology.

Absolutely. If it wouldn’t be a Jew you can be sure that fires would burn, looters would loot, rioters would protest...

What is wrong with you? Did you need to say this ridiculous comment? What did Fox say that triggered this type of behavior?

I’m afraid the stewardess found her way onto imamother. Wait, her name was Green right?

I dont deny that there was antisemitism here. But the same thing has happened to nonJews. Just google 'Delta-mask- passsenger' type of search and see most of the results are not Jews.

No one’s denying that. But on this forum we discuss stories that happened to Jews. Especially if it’s one of our fellow ima’s daughter!

Even if the passenger was in the wrong, the "you and your prayer book" comment was uncalled for and suggestive of anti-Jewish (or anti-religious) bias.

Yes, indeed.

I suppose this incident was an expression of general nervousness.

Yes, I was just replying to the person who said if it happened to a nonJew there would be looting in the streets.
It has happened to nonJews.

Airlines occasionally are very heavy-handed in their treatment of passengers. Remember the doctor who was literally dragged off the plane because the airline decided at the last minute (after the doctor was already seated) to bump him in order to make room for an employee?

I'm wondering if those people who are on the no fly list for non-compliance with mask wearing will be taken off automatically once Covid19 is over.

I just read he got $140 million! But his two front teeth were knocked out, and he needed some kind of sinus surgery.

Your attitude is horrible.
1. Her mother is on the board.
2. Your comments are personal attacks.
3. Your comments are in no way productive.

4. Maybe your friend was triggered from the entire experience? Personally, I've been outside shopping and seen mother's with babies crying in carriages and I become very annoyed with them too. Why? What's wrong with a mother pushing a carriage with a crying baby and continuing to shop? Just because I'd be embarrassed and run away, or because I wws taught rather stay home if you have a baby who will draw attention to you or if your highly pregnant to not disturb male shoppers doesn't mean I need to project my own issues onto women who are clearly just trying their best.

So, maybe your friend couldn't handle the embarrassment, or maybe she didn't like the scene of turning around the plane. Doesn't mean her version is correct. I could easily see myself being on this plane and feel angry with this woman and want to blame her. I even felt that way when I first read the thread, but I didn't. I just looked at the clip and it's pretty obvious this woman was trying her best in a difficult situation and was the victim of a rude flight attendant who has either heard some anti Jewish news lately or whatever. Just because your friend was there doesn't mean she is holy holy and cannot have her own reasons for saying something harsh.
