Looking for easy to prep, filling salads that taste like you bought it at a restaurant, to take to work.
Any ideas or links?

I find that once you add in good proteins, it almost makes it restaurant style. this week I did romaine lettuce with choice of: feta cheese, sliced hard egg, quinoa and added veggies such as persian cucumbers, grape tomatoes, black olives, sweet potatoes, etc.
also sushi salad with the rice, veg, kani and sauces.

also just saw a recipe that looks heavenly on between carpools for cheesy mushroom salad...

It’s the dressing that does it. Make good dressings and keep in the fridge.

Also add:
Roasted pears- yum! It adds a delicious sweetness
Granola clusters (I love Costco’s)
Farmer cheese/feta cheese
Add quinoa
Craisins. I add to every salad even a regular veggie.

Agreed regarding the salad dressing. I've tried making a homemade olive oil and lemon salt and pepper- it's good but not enticing enough at work. Lately I've splurged on the "Saladmate" dressings- they're expensive but absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad one is amazing.

What sort of dressing would be good for a salad with roasted pears?
What else would I put in that?

I took that idea from a salad I ordered in a restaurant once
Iirc it had spinach, lettuce, roasted pears, pumpkin seeds, and feta.
The dressing might have been a balsamic mustardy one? Not a hundred percent sure.
It was heeeaven

Layer a nice covered bowl with romaine, silvered red onion, halved grape tomatoes, shredded cheese and garlic croutons. Add a 2 oz container of Caesar dressing.

Layer romaine, silvered red onion, diced kirbies, halved grape tomatoes, purple kalamata olives and crumbled feta cheese. Add a 2 oz container of Greek dressing.

Layer baby spinach, silvered red onion, sautéed portobello mushrooms, halved grape tomatoes, maybe some goat cheese. Add a 2 oz container of creamy balsamic dressing.

Layer romaine, silvered red onion, diced kirbies, halved grape tomatoes and matchstick sliced cold cuts. Add a 2 oz container honey mustard dressing.

These sound delicious, but imo, no onion or garlic for work lunches Wink

I bought this at Home Goods and it’s very convenient. It comes with utensils and a container for dressing.
