I did not like dodgeball at all...
So I don't know exactly which is which, but there was one kind with two teams in two camps, which I disliked very much, and another everyone against everyone, which I disliked even more...
I am very bad at dodging balls... and I don't know who had the idea that it could be fun to shoot other children with balls...
Do you like climbing?

No, but my son is musical and used to play instruments but now he is not into anymore
ChannieMommie I don't find your explanation correct irl. Usually intelligent people don't have patience for unintelligent ones. Same other way as well, if you are a computer programmer & start speaking computer code language, people will tune you out.
How many hours of cleaning help do you have?

Zero...

I suppose it depends on the situation. If someone has to do a job and is supposed to know certain things to be productive, people might not be patient if a colleague is not able to do his job because of insufficient qualification...
But in private life I see that people who know in general are ready to explain, but, as you said, people who don't know tend to tune out & mock them...
I learn easiest from people explaining me when I need the explanation, so I appreciate people who are ready to explain to me, just out of the goodness of their hearts...
There may be a correlation - maybe those people who don't tune out, or mock, but listen, when they have an opportunity to learn are those who end up knowing more...
or maybe the correlation is the inverse - those who have the intellctual capacities to absorb information are eager to learn, the others tune out or mock - maybe it's a self-selcting process...
What is your favorite way of learning?

I think it has to do with patience level not in intelligence level. Both in giving explanations and hearing explanations, but it needs to be a topic that a person has interest in.
If I am not interested in animals, and you start explaining to me in detail animal life, I might mot be interested in listening. I might listen to you out of goodness of my heart or if I have no way of getting away. Otoh, if you start speaking to me about a topic that I enjoy, we might have a nice convo.
I enjoy giving explanations too.
If I am passionate about a subject and start talking to you but I see you show no interest, it's difficult to stop speaking but need to take cue from listener.

I am interested more or less in any topic, even fashion and make up, if necessary...
But there might be other persons who are not interested in theory,, just in practical learning...
Do you prefer theoretical learning or practical learning, learning through trial and error, learning through seeing, through listening, through doing, through writing?

Knowledge, info I probably learn from reading. From imamother, I learned some things.
I learn from observing & analyzing. Let's say I see two people having a convo & someone says something interesting & will try to think, where they are coming from, why would they say that, or if they talk to me, and have a different view.
I could see both sides of a coin sometimes, meaning even if I don't agree with what someone says or does, I can try to think of their perspective.
Yes, I enjoy discussing ideas or theories, more philosophical convos rather than only practical.
If I hear my neighbors only discussing where they are up to with pesach cleaning, or what fancy cake they made for yom tov, or what they renovated, or describing the dresses they saw at the wedding etc....I walk away.
Also depends on pressing sitch at hand.
If my baby is screeching, and my kids are fighting, and my husband just walked thru the door & your are trying to explain a math equation to me, then sorry, I don't have the headspace for it now.

Some things we learn from trial & error, like if I try that new recipe from a magazine, and it's not to my taste, I might tweak it or ditch the recipe if no one ate it.

The most effective learning style for me is proactively figuring things out for myself. Whether its researching, reading, hands-on trial and error, etc... I must be actively involved in the process.
The least effective way is through lecturing, although taking rigorous notes does help. (Otherwise a space out!)
What's one big goal you hope to accomplish this week?

How do I get my girls to go back to sleep now?
My baby woke me with crying.
My boys woke me, because they don't know what to wear.
My girlie who is off today, got up already.
Please, I want to go back to sleep...

You’re supposed to sleep when it’s dark outside. Said the lady who sleeps when it’s dark outside.
Do you ever have bad dreams that wake you and then you’re so relieved it was just a dream?
