We have the same taste! Politics is blocked. Intimacy isn’t but I hardly click on those because it disgusts me too. To answer your question, no.

Did you cook for second days yet?

Didn't block any forums, but the polarized politics in the political forum don't interest me, and I steer completely clear of the intimacy section.

Second days, I'm cooking lightly- just filling in the blanks. I still have so much leftover food from my pre yom tov cooking frenzy.

Have you ever reached out to an imamother privately? Did you get to know anyone from here IRL?

Sure I received and sent many PMs already

I've gotten to know a few posters here IRL, and I know one from before Imamother.

I have a list of Imas who I want to meet up with once the lockdown is over and we can visit again.

Meeting people IRL makes me really happy. I also have some great online relationships with Imas who are in other countries, and I would never get to know without this board.

Do you think of internet people as "fake", or do you think of them as real people?

I think of you all as real. I’d actually love to meet you one day!

When do you think this pandemic will be a thing of the past?

A bit fake.

When do you think we'll be able to make another meetup?

Don't know anyone on here.
I'm fascinated by this site, by the opportunity to discuss and debate with jewish women all across the spectrum.
I gained a lot of insight here,

Do you use paper towels or dish towels?

I like reading. When I read, I am in communication with the author of the book, even if I know nothing else about him... same here... so it's somewhat abstract, I don't know what people look like, but they are real persons to me...

I recognised someone here immediatly who I know in real life, but I did not tell... but it's just one person...

Real dishes & cutlery, except for big parties...

And I have no dishwasher...

How many men do you think are on Imamother?

What's your favorite book?

Carry me in your heart
Rebetzin Kanievsky
Holy Woman
Rebetzin Esther Jungreis
Emuna with love and Chicken Soup (might have the title wrong. About Henny Machlis)
With all I am (by kiwi13)
You get a pattern in my choices? Anything similar you suggest? Maybe I should treat myself to a new book for second days.

Oh yes! About 25-30 years ago. Very Happy
But you’re on the right track. What else?

Do you think Yael should ask for ID before allowing someone to register?

Oops... you did indeed...

No, I don't think Yael should ask for ID, I think people should be aware that there is no way of verifying true identity on a forum like this and not be too trusting... That's one reason why I would not post very personal questions here, even if it seems anonymous...

Right.
Do you suspect any of the frequent posters is a man?

Miracles in Switzerland by Jutta Luksenberg. It is an intersting and inspiring story about a young child who survived the war in Switzerland... it's not that well written, to be very honest, but inspiring...

Oh, and there is another one you could like, about jews who stayed frum in soviet Russia..."To remain a jew - the life of Rabbi Yitzhok Silber"... also not that well written, but also very inspiring...

I very much liked "The Physician" by Noah Gordon. it's a novel set in the middle ages, about an englishmen who is not jewish, but poses as a jew so that he can go study medicine in Isphahan Persia... It was a bestseller back in the 80s... I loved it...

Noah Gordon also wrote another novel about a Jew remaining in Spain as a Crypto-jew after girush sefarad... it's entitled "the last jew"

I also liked the noels by Nomi Regen about jewish women.. "The sacrifice of Tamar" and others... But I don't know if it's your taste, because it presents women in problematic situations and how they react in those situations... it's not as "holy" as the books you like...

No, not really...
But I suspected that many threads in "intimacy" were started by men, just according to their titles... that's why I blocked the forum...

Would you also enjoy a Forum like "imamother" if it was officially open to men and women?

I certainly would not! Confused

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Hmmm.
That is a rather broad question.

I think that in general, introverts (like me!) need an extrovert in their lives to push them out of their comfort zone a little.

Are you a list writer?
