Anybody know of an alternative remedy for treating thrush? I don't feel like giving my 3 week old nystatin?

Chlorophyll helps, you put drops on your nipples and then a few drops in the babies mouth after nursing. I'm assuming its in the babies mouth.

we battled with thrush for 4 wks, I got slack on the nystatin and weaned her at the same time n it dissapeared, couldn't tell u if I was passing the germ back to her or if the medicine dropper was holding the germ, I guess we wont ever know, bh its finally gone
I've heard vitamin E works well, didnt try it myself though

blumag, the same thing happened to me. I felt guilty at first for slacking on the nystatin, and eventually stopping, but it completely cleared up. I think the medication makes the fungus build resistance.

I can use oral miconazole which is also a thrush medication.
I wouldn't give a vitamin to a baby unless the Dr would say it's ok, coz some are harmful.
