I used to do rimon, but then I started doing a siman with pomegranate on the first day, so I took figs for a few years, and this year I intend to switch back to rimon... and to cut down a bit on the simanim.

But every year, right before rosh hashana, the figs are reduced in price in one big non-jewish supermarket chain here... I don't know if it's just the season... or their yearly promotion plan... or someone told them...

Which simanim do you do for Rosh hashana?

sadly, today my cleaning lady left before I finished cooking & baking, so stayed with the mess & with the unfinished foods.
