Drain off all the liquid from the can, and spread out the beans on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and garlic powder. Give it a good stir to mix things up.
Bake until they start to look a tiny bit dry, but don't let them burn. After the first 10 minutes, it's helpful to take them out, stir them up again, and then put the tray back for another 10 minutes.
The point is to get flavor in them, and cook until they lose the "soggy" texture so they seem more like fresh beans.

I've put canned green beans in a salad, with other canned stuff (corn, hearts of palm, chickpeas, etc..) Add diced pickles and diced purple onion. Dress with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano.

Salad(with small diced onions and mustard dressing) or
Put under chicken for a quick supper!(add rice or potatoes and supper is done!!!)

in a saucepan, sauté 2 crushed garlic cloves in oil, add string beans and 1 can of tomato sauce. transfer to a pan and cook for a while (1 hour?) in the oven.

Puree the string beans and add to mac n cheese to make it a little healthier.
