Is it a joke? That I'm missing? Let's post gorgeous photos of ourselves under some guise of empowering others?
Does anyone see it differently or is it cringe all around?

So cringeworthy.
The only empowering part for me is that it's empowering me to give up social media.

I'm trying to understand it myself but something like bloggers and business owners are all challenging each other to post a black and white photo of themselves and talk about what it means to empower others or something like that and they all are saying how nice it feels to empower others but meanwhile you're literally staring just at them. It's actually really funny and ridiculous so I'm honestly wondering if it's meant as some sort of parody?

Essentially, post a black and white picture of yourself looking gorgeous, giggle and thank the person who nominated you, act flattered yet humble, and post a blurb about female empowerment. And this shall inspire other women! Right?!

Someone posted something very thought provoking that its simply the next campaign of divisiveness. BLM, anti Semitism, now women.
