It's human nature to rubberneck when we see an accident. Our survival instinct wants us to survey the wreckage, so we can store that information and hopefully avoid the same thing happening to us. For example, when we hear of someone passing away, our first thoughts are "What did he die of?"
That said, we need to be careful and override this tendency when writing in public. Sensitivity is a learned response, it doesn't come naturally.
I'm davening that she has a refuah sheleimah, a yeshua, and a neis. She should find the right donor soon, and in time, with a good outcome.
