Anyone have a good recipe, not sweet (a little sweet is ok, but preferably not) and no wine? TiA.

Place onions on the bottom of the pan.
Put minute steaks on top and cover with duck sauce.
Cook on 350 degrees for a 2-3 hours covered.

Sear each side of the roast on 450 for 10 mins each side. Then add one onion cut in rings 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce and a little olive oil. Bake on 350 for about 3 hours (depending on size of the roast) Its delicious!!!!

I just made and it came out delicious! it says to bake one hour but really could use longer imo unless you like it rare.

I was nervous about the ginger ale but it came out yum. I also left out the mushroom soup mix cuz dh doesn’t like mushrooms. Still yum!
Enjoy!

You’re able to use duck sauce instead of that helps. Otherwise good luck!

-Slice a bunch of onions and peel a head of garlic (or use a handful of cloves)
-remove stems from 32 oz mushrooms and cut into quarters
-saute mushrooms and onions and place in pan with garlic cloves
Place minute steak on top (searing before makes it extra yummy but I have skipped that and results were still delicious)
-Rub top with some onion soup mix and smoked paprika
- pour in a cup of red wine (optional but adds great flavor) if you dont want to use you can mix some more onions soup mix with a cup of water
Bake according to size
So delicious, savory, and melts in your mouth if baked correctly
ETA low and slow is the way to go here so it will still slice nicely

greentea, if you're around to see this- and if not would appreciate someone else weighing in - just want to check- a cup of liquid enough for 1.5 kilo of meat when cooked the way you described?

I do something similar but no jam.
Spread onion soup mix and ketchup on roast. Pour ginger ale (or any soda works, I’ve used sprite and coke, can also be sugar free if you want) around the bottom of the pan, a few inches up.
Bake one hour per pound. (Check after 3 hours if it’s 3+ pounds).
