I wish like I said that I go to a class so the woman that teaches is the one that teaches from that book not me. but maybe one day I can be as smart as all these israeli's so I can understand at least to read a book and know what is happening not just here and there.

start with reading the easy newspapers, and take it from there....
one article a day!

btw, there used to be a newspaper for olim. does it still exist? it's a great way of learning how to read. also I used to read books for children (and loved them!)

that's the easy paper I was refering to! but not the one for olim. I can't remember the name... it's in very easy hebrew.

supermom, even after years of hebrew, I still don't read a book in hebrew when I want to relax. it's difficult to get to that kind of level. but I did read at least one article a day (first from yediyot, then from ma'ariv) and eventually had to read and write at work as well.

books for teenagers is the step after children's books

The super easy paper is 'Hasha'ar Lematchilim'. Yediot is considered an easy paper? I thought it was just a tabloid while Ma'ariv is more of a 'serious' paper. In ulpan they made us read Ma'ariv.

yediot is easy to read. ma'ariv is a little bit more difficult, but turning into a tabloid as well.... which leaves ha'arets, but that's difficult.

I just remembered the name of that newspaper for olim: Aleh!
