Im not sure why I think this, or maybe I actually did read this somewhere, but if someone with asthma gets the virus, would it end up being much worse than someone without asthma? Or no difference. Cant seem to find information.

It is dangerous for people that have any respiratory illnesses. I'd imagine asthma is also at risk.

According to the press conference today from DeBlassio, lung diseases are risk factors but it would be a good idea to ask the pulmonologist who is treating it if it would make a difference. Probably it depends on how severe the asthma is.

Now that you know it's worse for asthma sufferers, are you going to do anything differently than before?

My son has asthma and he's actually been coughing terribly since we got back from Israel last week. What can I do? BH no fever so he's continuing life like normal. Super excited for Purim. I'd never tell him that it's worse for him because he has asthma. Why scare him? But secretly I am slightly panicking

If he's coughing terribly he should see a doctor regardless of fever; whatever it is probably shouldn't be ignored, especially if he has asthma.
