Any frum people have Coronavirus hv

Any one heard someone frum with this Corona virus hv ? Impossible if keeping all mitzvahs of Hashemi.

Just wondering, why does it matter if one is frum or not if they have the virus? I know at least 1 israeli was confirmed the last time I heard (maybe its gone up since?) I have no idea if they are frum or not, but what is the significance of them being frum or not?

Unless a person is sick enough to go to the doctor, they may be walking around with it. Their employer may insist on getting them tested but the testing has recently been limited to people who met the criteria.
Possibly some frum people have it but it's not being diagnosed.
I have a bad cold and flew Tel Aviv to Newark less than 2 weeks ago but I am not running to the doctor.

No need to panic more about the corona virus than for the flu. A top infectious disease doctor that I know personally said we should be much more concerned with the flu than corona virus. Just keep on washing your hands. Hashem knows your address and has His ways. No need to be anxious and stressed about it.

Huh? It started in China, but doesn’t differentiate based on ethnicity. Like most diseases, however, it does impact elderly and sicker people more than the healthy.

We should not be panicking. But we should be taking precautions. Wash hands frequently and well. Make sure you have a 2 week supply of all necessary meds. And that you could hunker down if necessary. If I had small kids, I’d put away some coloring books, puzzles and things like that. Just in case. I’d avoid unnecessary air travel, given the risks from recirculated air.

No question it will spread, the question is can we contain it. Our government needs to be sure to have emergency preparedness. Hopefully we won’t need it. But I’d feel a lot better if Deborah Birx were at the helm.

He will change his tune if it becomes an outbreak in the US. (Which if it doesn't will only be because the known cases are being isolated worldwide)

The mortality rate so far seems twenty times higher than the flu. And no vaccination or treament available.

If you're following the news, there's currently more new cases daily out of China than within.

The mortaliy rate in Italy is almost 3% so far. 1100 cases with 34 deaths. No Asian roots there.

The US was using flawed testing and has just begun to improve that. Expect the number of people who have it to rise over the next couple of weeks. Of course you're not going to see anyone having it if you're not testing them for it.

I just read an article drawing comparisons to the Spanish flu of 1918. While they made valid points, the medical advancements of the last century, not to mention the technology that makes it easier to be quarantined, makes me skeptical about the article’s premise.
