We are going away, but not to a program....does that count? We are making a bar mitzvah a week after pesach, so we are going away cuz I can’t take the stress.

I would love to, but in all honesty I probably wouldn’t.

my extended family loves cruising but it doesn’t appeal to me. I have no plans to take a cruise but that’s unrelated to cronavirus

It is a good question what will all these outbreaks quarantines and unknowns. A cruise for sure not. Some destinations no. The rest...tbd.

You just got me thinking ...
I’m not going away for pesach but I did plan on taking my family on trips during chol hamoed... is that unsafe too??
And I did book tickets to fly to e”y in the summer... who knows what will be by then..

Until coronavirus is eradicated then ABSOLUTELY NOT I wouldn't go on a cruise
1. Its literally a petri dish. There is no way to contain an outbreak on a ship
2. The whole jurisdiction thing scares me. Which country takes responsibility? What if they dock somewhere unsafe? Especially for jews.
Not worth the risk AT ALL in my opinion

Agree -- As of now Israel has several countries already on the list that require quarantine upon return.
And things seem to be rapidly changing.
We are seriously considering cancelling our Pesach plans which involved a Pesach program due to some family members' medical issues and limitations.
While the situation hopefully will dramatically improve by then we have to base our determination upon the rapidly evolving situation as it looks now.
While we do not want to disappoint or upset some of the more challenged members or anyone in our extended family most of us feel we do have to cancel and will decide within the next few days most likely.
Wishing everyone a healthy Pesach Kasher v'Sameach!

I would think flying on an airplane would be a similar risk..

By then it might be finished or spread to anywhere in the world. I wouldn't want to be stuck on a boat like the princess cruise passengers did and then get home for 2 more weeks of isolation. Not worth the risk.

Would I go away at all now? I don't think I will plan any trips.
I know some people planning to go a cruise very soon and they are all older people, but if they don't go they will lose the money. I think its very risky for older people.
I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
