Now with the holidays coming up, how much do I tip the superintendant of our building?

That really depends. In my case, we have ten building employees. I give them tips at holiday time and I also tip them periodically during the year, for jobs that go beyond the call of duty. So there's a range of $15 to the guy I've never met or even seen to around $50 or $60 to the guys who do many repairs. I also give them $, as I said, when they're here sometimes. If I didn't, it would probably be closer to $100 at holiday time.

Although my super is not the one who actually does the repairs in my apartment I give him the most - $100. I feel like its insurence, if anything goes wrong I know that he will remember who I am and try to help me out.

our super is crazy. last yr we gave him over 100 dollaras but bec. he doeant do anything and isnt nice to us, this year he is not getting anything...
