Hi Hi

I will have a group of approx 40 tween - teen girls and would like to do some sort of affordable non messy craft or activity with them to mark Tu biShvat that would take between 30 mins to an hour.

Fruit carving is out as too messy and expensive.
Making fruit baskets too expensive.
Making marzipan fruits is out too..

Any other ideas greatly appreciated!!

Thank you Smile

String art fruit shape.

fruit design canvas painting with salt glued on & paint over it.

foam ball covered with sequins with pins to create fruits. You can stick in a piece of clove on top of orange painted foam ball to create an orange

fruit bowl collage created by different colors of buttons

fruit cookies. You can create a pineapple by taking a white sandwich cookie, doing yellow criss cross icing on top of both sides of cookies with. brown dots in between each square. Sandwich a leaf made of a green sour fruit roll/strip in between the cookies.

You can create fruits using different sizes & colors pompoms like purple grape cluster, 2 red cherries, finish off with different pipecleaners.

You can do fruits from balloons

fruit smoothies

scoop out shells of real fruit & fill with that flavor sorbet ices

there are craft kits- fruit outline you fill each hole with clay & place the same color beads into it. pretty.

You can make stuff out of shiva haminim like olive oil, honey, beer wine or a presentation of how it's made

a fruit salad

maybe just a demo of a single sample of fruit carving or everyone brings their own fruit

teach them real basket weaving or wicker weave from leaves/branches

Make an alhamichya sign.

I like when they color a transparency with permanent marker and then use crumble foil behind. These can be framed with frames from $1 store
