Thanks for the offer.
That's ok. I actually have a ladder (not a tall enough one), but I really don't have enough ribbon either. And I'm not sure I really want to spend what I have on ribbon. Still, its a cute idea. Smile

Imagine how much you'd have to spend on ribbon!! or wrapping paper!! LOL

I can just imagine the expression on the neighbors' faces!!! shock LOL

So just wrap the toilet bowl! Twisted Evil

Wow I'm impressed, two whole pages of posts about Chanukah gifts, and not one post saying that it pas nisht because it is copying the non jews. Sorry if it sounds sarcastic but, well, I guess it is.

We got ourselves airline tickets for a nice family vacation as our gift to each other.

same here Momtomor, I know he would love a sefer but I would NEVER know what to buy. Even if I found something that looked good I would always think he must have it (since he "moved in" his seforim really "invade" the house), not to mention some are in languages I don't read so I can't even check.

Clothes are a great idea but I don't understand mens sizes. So he gets cufflinks and cds LOL

How do you know which sefer to get him? I would feel uncomfortable giving my husband a sefer, as if I'm implying that he doesn't learn enough or something. Unless he specifically asks for it, or it's something I make it a habit to buy every time, like TwinsMommy.

That's so interesting. I wonder why he would think you're implying that he doesn't learn enough. Why is that different than any other gift (clothes-I don't like your wardrobe, CDs-I don't like your music, etc.)?

Funny thing for me is that I actually have bought my husband clothes because I didn't like his wardrobe (now I love his wardrobe, so his taste must be improving!) and I have bought him CD's because I wanted to improve his music.

Too bad I can't buy him a haircut -- I'd like to make a change there.

(My husband bought me a day at a spa for Mother's Day. Maybe he's trying to improve my disposition Wink)

Can you suggest any online links to something you have in mind? I'm so clueless to these things.

Dh has this jacket and he LOVES it!!!! Its short and light so its easy on and off and very good looking - his is charcoal grey- Its very nice and also warm. If he didnt have this he would be like your husband- not wearing a coat untill its like snowing.

Thanks. I actually went to Burliington yesterday and bought something similar looking and of similar price. I hope he likes it and I hope it fits. But leaving the gift receipt in there just in case.

can't wait until tomorrow Smile

Update: he did love it, but it didn't fit so he exchanged it for something that fit better. I don't care, I'm thrilled that he's finally wearimg a jacket, and he still tells people this was my chanukah present to him.

Anyone else get or recieve anything interesting?
