You may want to get Play Me a Niggun (both Eichlers.com and Judaicaworld.com sell it if you cannot find it locally). It is available in both Yiddish and English versions (the songs are written in Hebrew/Yiddish; the language that you choose is what the instructions are written in). Here is the description:
Children will enjoy playing their favorite heimish songs on their very own electronic piano. They can play it with no help at all, by following the color-coded music notes & keys! Ages 6 & up.
Beautifully Illustrated 24-page board book (10 1/4 " x 10 1/8 ")
23-key electronic piano with color-coded numbered keys
Easy-to-follow musical notation
Instruction sheet
Batteries included (replaceable)
12 heimish songs:
Tov-Li
Toras Hashem
Muh Ahavti
Olam Haba
Ivdo Es Hashem
Uvyom HaShabbos
Chanukah Oy Chanukah
LaYehudim
Amar Rabi Akivah
Od Yeshama
Oy Ribono Shel Olam
L?Shana Haba
A note to parents: The system of color-coded 'notes' and numbers used in this songbook has been adapted from conventional musical notation to make it easier for children to play the songs. This system is not meant to represent standard notation.
Song words are written in Hebrew text only.
Due to the Hebrew lettering system musical notations are written from right to left.
It is a lot of fun; even my non-musical husband enjoys it.

I just got a song book for my son. it's a fairly new item. don't know exactly what it's called, my baby is sleeping and can't go check.
it's a songbook that works with numbers, not notes. it has number stickers included to stick onto the keys.
my son loves it (he's 7). the only issue I have with the book is that it goes from right to left, like hebrew reading, and not left to right, like number should go, so it's a bit confusing at first.
hopefully their future books will be done differently.
