He's worn cashmere gloves before. Unfortunately one got lost. I wore cashmere today. It's not itchy at all for either of us. I should clarify it's leather with cashmere inside. I figured that was self explanatory but maybe it wasn't.

Can you suggest any online links to something you have in mind? I'm so clueless to these things.

Dh has this jacket and he LOVES it!!!! Its short and light so its easy on and off and very good looking - his is charcoal grey- Its very nice and also warm. If he didnt have this he would be like your husband- not wearing a coat untill its like snowing.

Oh well, tickets are out and a working toilet is in. Sad
The money I had put aside for Broadway show tickets just paid for the plumber.
::sigh::

LOL!
I like your style RivkiA!
I got him some smaller things (see the post before last), but I was hoping to "wow" him a bit. He's always doing thoughtful things for me, and he's always surprising me, so for once, I wanted to kinda surprise him.
I guess you are right, I'll need to wrap the house.
Gotta ladder? LOL

Actually yes! where do you live? I'll send my husband right over! He loves being in high dangerous positions!
But I don't know where you're going to find enough ribbon!

Thanks for the offer.
That's ok. I actually have a ladder (not a tall enough one), but I really don't have enough ribbon either. And I'm not sure I really want to spend what I have on ribbon.
Still, its a cute idea. Smile

Thanks. I actually went to Burliington yesterday and bought something similar looking and of similar price. I hope he likes it and I hope it fits. But leaving the gift receipt in there just in case.

can't wait until tomorrow Smile

How do you know which sefer to get him? I would feel uncomfortable giving my husband a sefer, as if I'm implying that he doesn't learn enough or something. Unless he specifically asks for it, or it's something I make it a habit to buy every time, like TwinsMommy.

So far, I bought DH a silicone bundt pan and a cake mold that is shaped like a flower. I also got him two cooling trays.
What can I say, except that DH happens to make wonderful cakes! He was just mentioning how he might be wanting a new bundt pan, and then laughed about how others might react to a guy wanting cooking utensils. He also makes delicious kugels and chicken Smile.
I would love to get him tickets to a Broadway show, but I haven't been able to figure out the details yet (how to get him away from work on time, how to pay for it without him finding out). Any ideas?

ha my husband also like kitchen utensils , he is a chef and a really good one at that! he is the one who goes to all the kitchen stores and homewhere departments etc.. Smile

My hubby isn't a chef, but, as of late, he has been experimenting more and more in the kitchen. He finds recipes that "sound good to him" in the various cookbooks we own, and we are the guinea pigs.
He's really made some absolutely yummy dishes. Recently he tried to make this Hickory smoked chicken recipe. He looked all over for the hickory dry rub for the chicken, but to no avail. He then opted for mesquite instead - YUM!! (The funny thing is, I later found a store selling the hickory dry rub. I bought some for "next time".
Another thing he makes is this lemon bundt cake recipe that he found in one of the Susie Fishbein books (don't remember which one, we have a few!). I really really enjoy that one, and apparently I'm not the only one. He brought it to a family get-together (actually his father's birthday party), and it went so fast!! People wanted seconds, but there were only crumbs left.
People have to realize that cooking and baking isn't (and never was!) just for women. Very Happy

We don't really seem to be doing gifts this year at all. But we were given some money by DH's grandparents, so that's what we'll use to buy for ourselves/each other. We've decided on a CD/mini stereo system for the house (the one we had died 2 years ago, and we've been using a boombox since then which is also dying), and that we'll each get a fixed amount from the money to get something that we really want for ourselves. The balance will be added to our anniversary money that we are saving up for a weekend or week away this coming summer.
