Hi!
I’m iyh due in 8 weeks. I assumed that when after I give birth I’ll have to start the search for a newborn babysitter with decent hours (until after 3), and not too far from where I currently send my daughter. How does it work in regards to a babysitter for next September ? Should I be waiting until I give birth? I already registered my 2 year old for next year as every morah in town opens registration right after sukkos. Should I be registering an unborn baby for next year already? I know it sounds crazy but I’m already stressing if I’ll be able to find someone with the right hours and location.

Babysitters dont fill up in advance the way play groups do..if ur due end of January ur baby will be 7-8 months then. Thats definitely not play group so I dont think u need to worry..

If you want a specific group in a specific area for babysitting when you go back to work, I don't think you should wait until your baby is born. I've heard of people having a hard time finding a slot. You might want to inquire in advance, unless you want to get on the task pretty quickly after you give birth.
