Hi,
I’m looking for a baby nurse. I called a baby nurse I had previously, and she went up in price a lot, over a $300 difference.
I’m curious if prices changed in the past few years, or she is just super expensive.
The last I payed was $500 for 6 days directly to the nurse, plus an agency fee that went directly to the agency.
Now she is private, and asking for $900 for 6 days, but no agency fee.
Is this the going rate now?

The cheaper agencies use new nurses that are straight out of training usually which is why they’re cheaper than private nurses.
$500 for 6 days is extremely cheap.

I just had a nurse. The rate was about 600 for the week thru an agency. Good luck!

No one is really charging 900 right now. Is it for triplets? I hired private for one week for twins and it was 700 for a week 6 days and 1 day off. Is she going to be working all seven days?

Only 6 days, and not multiples

She wasn't amazing. She was good, and I trust she won't hurt my baby. I'm so scared of trying a new person, with all these stories I heard the past year.

I think you’ll have a better chance of finding someone new if you ask around neighbors family members and friends. It will be easier to trust her if she comes recommended from someone you know, not someone on an online site.

I just saw this post, but if you need a baby nurse, I may have one for you. $500 for 6 days, she was amazing. $900 is ridiculously expensive

I have heard these stories and am not going to hire a random lady. Please stop fear mongering me. I EBF and have a monitor in the room. I won’t be leaving the house without my baby

I totally agree. I’ve seen the outcomes of these abuse cases up close and personal and it’s horriying. I’ve never understood how so many people are comfortable leaving their new precious babies that are so delicate in the hands of total strangers. I’d sooner hire help for the older children than have someone else care for my newborn
