I think some of the posters here are missing a few details

sue danym posted a thread in the lubavitch forum how to answer tammy (herself) and went on a rampage attacking her there.

then tammy posted a thread saying a poster had copied and pasted the thread for her and she was leaving as a result.

she got all kinds of sympathetic posts and made the lubavitch forum look bad

Most or maybe none of us would ever do what she did, but she's probably just a chronic prankster who didn't imagine she'd get found out, and was having a ball in the mean time.

Well, I was going to confess that I, too have a double identity, being myself and Motek, but I knew nobody would believe that I could be as learned, articulate and strong as she on the one hand, and that heretical, sarcastic slob, Clarissa, on the other hand.

I post on another board where this has happened a few times, and I've always been impressed that people have the time and energy to maintain two or three identities. I'm tired just being myself, along with the occasional appearance as amother. 8)

(note: Please don't take offense, Motek, it's just because I knew that I was one of the last posters you'd want for your alter-ego)

ps - Yael - Are you sure those were the only two identities? Or was there a triplet out there?

Yeah, its amazing, sue NEVER capitalized her sentences and always used shorthand and Tammy always wrote so correctly. How did she never make a 'mistake'??

I wonder if the "wonder of technology" can be set to detect if someone registers twice. I can understand that 2 different posters can come from the same computer or even that someone can be posting from the library. Suppose I visit my daughter (one is registered, the other not) and post from her computer. The IP will show both her and my posts as coming from the same place.
With this current sitch, I never got involved with that dispute. I see that some posters are involved over a period of time and others come and go and lose interest or possibly come back after a period of time with a different username and avatar. In other words, posters fade in and out and most of them I don't have contact with.

Someone I know was on another board was a moderator at another board (confused yet?) and she found out that all the other moderators (6 or 7) were one guy. She said there were extensive threads where the guy was posting in all his personalities. And several of them were women!
