I also feel terribly duped... and quite hurt. Often Sue's words were terribly hurtful... and to think it was done as some sort of sick joke.

Yikes. While I'm not surprised at all that Sue Danym was not real, I'm shocked that it's Tammy. Her posts were intelligent and she expressed things well. The personalities and writing styles don't match eachother at all, but I guess she's "talented".

Well I hope there are not but there might be.
I had a friend once who did this; I had known her sometime before she confessed to me that she had played this type of game, assuming various avatars with different personalities. She felt a great deal of guilt about it later because, in those various personae she made some friendships, and had people really trusting her and talking to her. I don't really remember what the compelling factor was in starting it all; I think just to bring about a debate on issues she felt would otherwise not be raised. But she began to grow weary of the game and also couldn't keep her head around all her different avatars...so she confessed and was quite surprised and ashamed when she realized how many people she hurt.

I hope if Sue/Tammy really are one and the same that she figures out why she felt the need to play this game and does tsuevah. It also wouldn't hurt if she sent a message apologizing to everyone concerned.

I always thought the woman that started the science thread -who wins, whatever its called, was probably sue..except I think it was posted before her time. Probably tammy posted anon and then decided lets make this anon poster official

we can't even make the claim that maybe a neighbor is tapping into her broadband because that couldn't be happening both at home and at work

as far as how to register under the same IP, maybe she went to the library or someone else's computer and registered from there, but was posting from the same computer so Yael could find her.

By having this alter ego come along and attack her in a foolish sounding way, she made herself come out looking like the intelligent one,

HEY, ladies! Stop talking about her and give the woman a chance to explain her behavior!

If Yael has banned her, I want to request that she be unbanned, at least so that she can have a chance to respond to everything written about her. And since her posts were intelligent, maybe she can remain a member but be carefully monitered.

Please, let's deal with this shocking revelation in a manner that befits mature, frum woman. It's a challenge to us - one that we can meet with honesty and respect.

As far as you, Tammy/Sue, I think you owe us an explanation. I, for one, am willing to listen.

She can't. She's been (understandably) banned from the board. Unless she has someone's e-mail address or other off-board contact info, she won't be able to contact people.

Also, why would you want someone like that back, no matter what the explanation?

isramom don't you realize this isn't just an issue of someone having two usernames.
I know there is a poster that keeps getting new usernames and getting banned and Yael is keeping on top of it but I'm not nearly as disturbed by her as I am by this story
this is a matter of being an imposter.
Posing as a lubavitcher, just to give us a bad name is dirty and doesn't deserve another chance.
fighting with herself using a false lubavitch persona and making outrageous comments in our name is downright low

I wrote her and asked her about not being on, what had happened and she answered that e-mail. But that was before she was found out by Yael. I'll write her now and see what she says...

Yael, is there anyway you can sort those IP addy's and find out who else is a twin/triplet or whatever?

Someone mentioned it is interesting to see how often Tammy was "bashed" by Sue...

This is just one example, but she used bashing Tammy as an opportunity to bash another poster: Sue Wrote (not to me, so this isn't merely personal)
