I know he was 103 but I'm grieving his death. "This is my G-d" changed my life . I owe him so much .
And "Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance" and "The Caine Mutiny"... He was such an amazing writer. I wish I could have met him. I should have written to him at the very least.

I met him in highschool, he spoke to us shabbos afternoon. A very special person.

Wow,103! I can’t grieve because I had no idea he was still alive. Great writer, great human being. BDE, RIP.

I feel the same way. I read "This is my G-d" during HS and it impacted my life greatly. I also loved "Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance".
