Oh great, can't wait to see everyone else's menus as I ALSO need new ideas!

Friday night
--------------
fish (sometimes with dips- guacamole, egg plant, and/or techina)
chix soup (with lockshen or matza balls)
chix (if recipe has a lot of gravy, I'll prepare rice)
potato kugel
carrot (or apple or lockshen) kugel
tomato salad (diced tomatoes with salt and pepper)
chocolate ice cream cake

Shabbos day
---------------
a scoop of liver. scoop of egg salad. (on lettuce with vegies for garnish)
deli salad (lettuce with chunks of cold cuts & dressing)
cholent
kishka
potato kugel (from the cholent)
kugel (from friday night)
cucumber salad
cole slaw
cake/or ice cream with home made cookies of some sort

3rd meal
-----------
egg salad or develed eggs
left over, or fresh salad
pasta salad
g'filta fish

quick chix dressing: equal amounts of ketchup and brown sugar. bake at 350 for one hour. Makes great gravy for over rice.

another EASY salad idea: pasta (tri colored spiral pasta. pour over some bottled italian dressing, and add red pepper and baby corn)

try using herring or other smoked fish instead of regular gefilte fish.

leftover g'filta fish never has that same special taste as on shabbos... so it ends up sitting in the fridge waiting to be disposed.

well..... last week I 'spruced' it up really easily, and we both enjoyed:
poured small tomato sauce can into pot. added sliced fish and warmed ontop of stove.

technically you could be fancy and add stir fryed onions/vegetables...... but for an easy leftover dinner with a twist, this worked great.

I'm also a MAJOR salads fan, however they can be really time consuming to prepare!!!

Neither my husband nor I are great salad fans and when I make salad it usually gets left over. Also, I hate checking vegetables and the only two salads I know of that don't need checking are carrot and cucumber salads and neither of us like those. So I usually only make salad if we're having guests or if I feel really ambitious and balebustish.

what is SLUMP?
for a change, I made a different type of cholent.
Rice, sweet potatoes and shwarma! It came out really good.
(there's a store here in b'klyn that sells uncooked shwarma - already spices. it's yum)

Aaron Rubashkins (brand of meat/chicken) sells preseasoned shwarma pieces that are great/tasty etc. and are super quick to make for supper. (or I guess add to a cholent in this case???)

I believe they are precooked, so just throw from freezer into pan to top stir fried vegies or rice for a superb dinner.
