I do not have the time or patience to check and compare prices on individual items. I did however, write up a big list, and would love to make a big order in a place where overall the savings will add up.

Has anyone done the comparing already?
Are the specials advertised yet? Where do you suggest I go? Why?

I don't use processed products so I would be purchasing mostly staples like eggs, oil, sugar, potato starch etc. And a lot of plastics, containers, pans etc. Also some produce. No meat or chicken.....

Following. I've done my big shopping at NPGS in past years, but this year I think I'll shop around a little more. Sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and soda at ShopRite; eggs, foil pans, maybe oil at Bingo (just got their coupon booklet in the mail); just saw Gourmet Glatt's ad and they seem to have great prices on potato starch. I'll probably limit myself to those three stores Wink

I do my big pesach shopping at NPGS.
They have the best prices in Lakewood.
Sometimes other stores have sale items at a better price but to stock up your kitchen, I think you will do best at NPGS.

Thanks for replying! I'm not going to be able to run around so I was hoping for one stop shopping.
Speaking of bingo, I was trying to figure that booklet out. What's up? Membership? Also wish they would have written prices instead of just how much they are discounted.

I do this on a weekly basis, but honestly I get the feeling that for the type of things I use a lot on pesach, specifically plastics and pans, I can do better elsewhere.

I already did my shopping around and bingos prices were really amazing and this is before the coupon book... Between gourmet glatt and bingo I was done but really could have done it all in bingo. Maybe one or two things were more than other stores but overall I saved a lot of money! To those who say npgs u obviously don't know prices cuz they're the highest when comparing to gourmet glatt sales and bingo! Look at all the ads you'll see for yourself!

Last year I bought all sales at gourmet glatt. Did very well. And Rest at npgs.

Looking back Some was a mistake. Like gourmet glatt advertised cheaper potatoes. But the larger potatoes at npgs came out cheaper - and some size plates. But overall I think I did good.

My plan this year:

1. bingo for paper goods, disposables, oils and eggs. Good sales only.
2. Gourmet glatt sale item only.
3. Npgs rest of order.

I don’t think their prices are so amazing across the board, even sale items. Every single Purim item I bought there was cheaper at other stores.

I appreciate everyone who is responding. I really want to stick to one place, but it seems like there isn't an overall consensus of where that should be.....

My hesitation with bingo is that I would have to but their own brand of things like oil, potato starch etc. How do I know if it is good?

I honestly might have tried Bingo this year but they didn’t list their prices. I really dislike ads that only list how much off they are giving. Bingo is so far from me (I live in Brookhill)! For great savings I would have gone. My time is limited and I won’t be driving there because of their poor advertisement.

I also find the way their sales work I spend more money and tons more time there. It’s not advertised with prices. Last time I went I had to go up and down every aisle to see what was on sale. Spent way to long, bought too much stuff. I went twice and am not running back. Plus they open so late during the week.
Based on their circular I’ll make a list of what to buy and hopefully will be faster. I’m starting to wonder if it’s just hype.

I find gourmet glatt has some really really cheap items that are super low prices. Npgs management will even tell you they must be selling at a loss. But other items really aren’t. Like I said last year I bought some sale items at GG due to its ads only to find I would have done better at npgs.
For example npgs last year potatoes were more by the case. But they were much bigger better grade so the ads weren’t a good comparison. Had it happen on a few items.

It’s curios no one is mentioning any of the other new big or small stores.

I live in brookhill too, if you use waze you can get to bingo in ten minutes via Joe Parker to rt 88, then garden state parkway for a minute.

Thanks! I actually used Waze the one time I went and had no idea where it was taking me! That’s the way I went... maybe I’m getting older but I get tired after walking around big stores, loading unloading groceries... so far I only went once to bingo. It has to be worth it and when I checked the booklet that came in yesterday’s mail, I wasn’t convinced since no prices were listed.

That was a big mistake on their part. That booklet really threw me off.

I find that Evergreen (if I'm in that area) sometimes has good deals on produce.
