Does anyone have any information on how useful/effective this reading program is? It is being offered free of charge and seems like a very good program, but I'd love to hear opinions from people who have taken the course and used it on their students, before I commit to spending many hours on classes and practicum.

I don't use the Wilson program, but I have implemented many ideas and strategies. It works well for struggling readers. It really depends on your students and your availability. If you can, it could be useful, but I wouldn't necessarily turn my life upside down for it.

It is an almost universally recognized program-- by which I mean that it you were to apply for a teaching job in a random American city and brought up your training in it, the interviewer should have heard of it.
