I ordered a shower gift for someone and it will not be delivered to me in time. I don't usually go to showers. Is it OK to go without a gift and drop off the gift when it arrives. Should I put a picture of the gift in a card? What would you suggest. I'm not sure I have time to pick up something else.

Yeah, at my shower that's what a lot of people did since they had the gifts delivered to my new home. It was much nicer to get a picture and not have to drag a bunch of gifts on the plane.
