I am a SAHM and would like to watch a baby (infant through 12 months old ) in my house (Flatbush). I stay home with my 19 month old son.

Totally off topic, but your name makes me think you are of Spanish origin, am I right?

No, but I always liked all things Spanish. Par contre, I lived in France Smile

hm ... it would be quite hard for me to have a stranger watch my baby ... I would most certainly need to "know" the person ...

don't people meet with their children's caregivers before entering into the childcare contract? Or you mean knowing someone for years beforehand?

Definitely. I meet with people, talk to them, give them my list of services and contract. If I can accomodate their schedule, if the baby is the right age, if I feel comfortable wit the family, then I take it on. I don't do any random occasional babyistting, I work with people for at least a year, often longer.
