Is it safe? Yes, I am a deep water swimmer, but I'm scared to go by myself. Whats if something happens? I just cant find a partner to go with.

No, in a private backyard pool, with no one around.

Absolutely not. It's not safe. And I am a good swimmer.

No. Accidents happen. A cramp can happen. Chas vshalom choking can happen. It is important to always have another individual with you .

No way! It's very unsafe. I'm a lifeguard & I would never ever go swimming by myself.

Isn’t it halachically not allowed? Ask your Rabbi.

No one should swim alone - no matter how strong a swimmer. It’s not safe.

I thought it's not Halachically allowed, besides being unsafe.
If you're in the Monsey area, I'd love to join you

Wow, so people with a pool in their back yard never go swimming by themselves? I didn’t know that... guess it makes sense...

I don’t really understand why it’s so dangerous. My mother raised me that it’s not allowed but it never really made sense to me. I would take a bath by myself and don’t really see the difference

I would swim alone in a pool (and have done so). I would not swim alone in the ocean or other natural body of water.

How deep is the water
Less than 5' is ok
I have to go for PT. If no one is there I avoid the deep side..

Anyone I know that has a pool in their backyard will only go swimming if there is another person there . That can be a family member, neighbor, friend etc.

I'm not saying it's safe or the wise thing to do, but I have gone swimming by myself dozens of time. Backyard pools are generally not that big and you're always within arms distance of a wall to grab on just in case of a cramp or something. I only stick to doing laps, without overextending myself, or relaxing on a float. I don't jump in, dive or anything that even hints of a risk.
Again, I know its completely not safe and I don't advise anyone to do this, but there is just something to that peace and serenity of a quiet pool all to myself.

No way.
The first rule of swimming is never swim alone. It doesn't matter how good a swimmer you are.
